Stora Hamnkanalen
The place today called Brunnsparken was in early times an island in Stora Hamnkanalen. On that island there was an iron balance and a sugar mill. In 1834 a well house built on the island, which later gave the place it's name Brunnsparken. Brunn is the Swedish word for well.
The canal on the south side of the island was filled up between 1748 and 1750.
