Ringkanalen, The Ring canal

Between 1878 and 1898 this canal was built at island Hisingen in Gothenburg. It was built between the Kvillebäck canal and Göta River. and thus created the island Ringön. This island still have this name even though the canal nwas filled up during the period from 1930 to 1960.
On Ringön a number och quays were built . Some of these are still in use.
