Norrkvarns upper

Norrkvarn upper was built in 1821 and has an elevation of 2,9 meters.

In 1998 M/S Juno was close to sailing right through the lower gates when entering the lock.
The full stop manouver came too late and the only thing that saved the gates was that the deck men managed to moore.

The old mill is now a youth hostel and in the park is a miniature canal landscape built. Here you can see several of the wellknown buildings along the canal.
