Mariehov lower lock

Mariehov lower is a single chamber lock with an elevation of 2,1 meter.

Ghosts live in this lock! At least that's what seamen say. Big ships can't be moored steadily here, they move all the time, and if the lock-keeper don't fill the lock slowly the ships will bump into the gates.
There is a physical explanation for this of course, and hearsay states that it depends on the fact that the lock is built with right angles between the walls and the bottom.
Believe it or not! Fredrik Lundström, deck man on Rederi AB Göta Kanal's ships in 1999 and 2000.
