At the entrance to the old canal there are a few mooring-paces.
Here you'll find both a grill and a firewood heated sauna.

Lanthöjden an island surrounded by the canal!
Here the canal was built in a almost 180 degree curve. And very narrow too, so narrow that it was not possible for ships to meet. On the hill there was a seamphore regulating traffic. A special man was employed to separate traffic. At the busiest times ships could have to wait several hours to get through.
During 1930 to 1933 a shortcut was built for the canal, and Lanthöjden became an island between the old and the new stretches.
Later the semaphore was moved to Tåtorp as a memorial.
