Borensberg lock
This lock was built in 1820 and regulates the water level of lake Boren. The elevations is usually 0,2 meter.
Uno Fagerström was one of many legendary lock-keeprs here. Hen worked here about 20 years and told his younger realative Erik Fagerström this in the 1970ies:
The lock in Borensberg also regulates the flow of water down to lake Roxen. The locks there use so much water that the natural flow is not enough. So during nighttime they let some water freely pass through the lock to get a steady flow all around the clock.
This is the only lock on the eastern section of Göta Canal that is still operated by hand.
