Dalsland canal

Upperud

Upperud by Lake Spången has been of great importance since ages. From the 17th to the 19th centuries it was the place for one of the biggest iron works, and it was an important harbour for reloading iron ore for transport to the many iron works in Dalsland and neighbouring Värmland.
