Långed

Connecting lake Mustadforshöljen to lake Långbrohöljen with four locks and an elevation of 13,1 meters.
The staircase has, from upstreams, one single lock, one dubble-lock and another single lock. When boats go up or down through the dubble-lock was has to be tapped out of the upstream single-lock.

Storholmen was built in 1934 and has been refurbished and modernized several times since then. It sails between Bengtsfors and Håverud according to a timetable and those who wish can make the returntrip on DVVJ, the Dal-Västra Värmland railroad.

The waitingbridge in the upper basin. The building at right was the home of the engineer at Dals Långeds paper mill.

Lock 2 and 3 with The Långed Works in the background. This was the place for one of the first pappersmassefabrikerna in Sweden. Now they produce paper.
