Långbron

The elevation in Långbron is 0,3 meter. There are two bridges, one for the road and one for the railroad.
The lock connects lake Långbrohöljen to lake Laxsjön.
Close to the lock is a house that used to house the canal headoffice. This is now a youth hostel. Here also used to be a house, the the canal managers home.

You can see the opened railroad bridge and behind it the closed roadbridge of Dutch design.
We have just entered the lock and the lock-keeper has closed the roadbridge. The railroad bridge is still open.
