Dalsland canal

The locks in Billingsfors

There are two singlechamber locks here with a short canal between. The total elevation is 6,1 meter.
The Billingsfors mills, paper and thimber, are located immediately west of the locks. Billingsfors also have an idyllic estate park and an open air theatre that is several hundred years old. The 500 seats are all slate-covered. The old mill church is well worth a visit.
