In Saarijärvi municipality in the province Middle Finland you find Summaskoski floating canal. It passes the Summaskoski stream which is very rich on stone and is about 150 meter long.
The canal is part of the floatway in the Kymmene seasystem and here logs have been floated towards bigger fairwyas to be collected for further transport in bigger units. The floatings here stopped several decades ago.
The difference in waterlevel is 1,6 meter, but small boats and canoes can you the canal on their way downstreams.
