Thorsminde canal

Connects Nissum Fjord and Thorsminde old harbour to the North Sea.

The canal between the North Sea and Nissum Fjord has a lock. It is 3,5 meter deep, but the roadbridge east of the lock only leaves 3 meter headroom, so only fairy small boats can pass.

The waters in Nissum Fjord are shallow so only small boats can sail there.
